Lab 2: Find the Hanging Mass
Lab 3: Sliding Down An Air Track
Lab 4: Finding The Third Force

In
this screen, students are given the masses of two blocks on a double
incline. Using these masses and the angles of the planes, they must
determine which way the blocks will slide and in which direction the
friction forces will act. |

Directions
are available from the software's main menu and also from each of
the seven lab screens. Students can use the directions on the main
screen to plan how and in which order to attack the labs. |

At
any point, students can click on the Check and See Results button.
This will bring up two screens that include the students calculated
answers, the correct answers, and percent errors. Students need to
be within 5% of the correct answer to receive credit. The students
can then click on the Print Screen button to print the scoring screen
to turn in to the instructor for grading.

A
separate application screen allows the instructor (or students) to
access solutions to the seven labs in Word format. Instructor's notes
and the directions for each of the seven labs are also available from
this screen. While not required to view the solutions in Word, MathType
is required to edit them. |
