Game Makers

Multimedia Science has designed several game making programs. This software lets you create games for your students covering just the curriculum material that you want. Pre-made games can be useful, but they often:

  • focus on curriculum that is not in your sylabus
  • use words or symbols that don't fit either your textbook or your lecture notes
  • combine sections of the curriculum that you would rather keep seperate

One game making program is the Academic Game Maker & Player. Each game you create can have up to six parts made up of three types of games - Laser I, Matching, and Laser II. After creating and saving the game file, students can open the game file and play the game using the Academic Game Player. A screen shot of a matching game that has students matching up pictures of chemistry equipment with assocated names is shown below. Click on the Game Maker tab on the home page to find out more information about the Academic Game Maker & Player.

Another great Multimedia Science game maker is the Categories Game Maker which can make exciting review games for playing with your classes using a computer and projector system. A completed game consists of up to 70 questions broken up into seven categories, each worth from 10 to 100 points. The software makes creating and running the games easy, so you can concentrate on your students
